Turner Padget Announces the Addition of Three New Attorneys

Turner Padget is pleased to announce the addition of three new attorneys. Benjamin E. Calhoun joins as an associate in the firm’s Workplace Litigation practice group and is based in Columbia; Hood Dawson joins as an associate in the firm’s Insurance and Products Liability practice group and is based in Columbia; and Nicholas Stewart joins as an associate in the firm’s Insurance and Products Liability practice group and is based in Charleston.

Calhoun’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation matters in South Carolina. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Staff Counsel at the South Carolina Administrative Law Court. Through his work there, he gained a unique perspective on how to approach legal matters from a court’s viewpoint. Calhoun earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Dawson concentrates his practice on personal injury defense. Through his representation of both plaintiffs and defendants, Dawson has conducted many depositions, mediations and motion hearings. This experience allows him to properly advise his clients throughout the litigation process. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law.

Stewart finds his passion in representing the individuals and businesses of South Carolina. He has experience representing construction companies, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, school boards, doctors, lawyers, insurance carriers and small businesses. Stewart has successfully assisted clients in circuit court, magistrate court and professional licensure boards. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
