In an article published on July 22, 2015, The State reported that Catherine Kennedy was honored with the South Carolina Bar’s Robert P. Wilkins Probate and Estate Award for her service to the practice of probate, estate and trust law in South Carolina. Kennedy was nominated by her peers in the South Carolina Bar. To be eligible for the award, attorney’s must spend at least 50 percent of their time over the last 10 years practicing or teaching in the areas of the award and must be a member of the South Carolina Bar’s Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section.
