William "Billy" Horvath is a highly accomplished attorney with an outstanding track record of success handling complex civil litigation and as a lead counsel in jury trials. With numerous jury trials resulting in favorable outcomes for his clients, Billy is regarded as a skilled advocate for his clients.  Billy’s practice spans a wide range of civil litigation matters, including wrongful death, serious personal injury, construction defects, defamation, and business/commercial litigation.  Billy routinely handles matters for individuals and businesses in both state and federal court. 

Billy is frequently retained to handle cases with significant exposure that require strategic problem-solving and a deep understanding of intricate legal issues.  As a testament to his civil litigation skills, Billy is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an organization dedicated to preserving the jury trial system and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.  He is also a member of the National Retail & Restaurant Defense Assocation, reflecting his experience in representing businesses facing litigation.  Billy’s legal expertise is complemented by relentless dedication, meticulous preparation, and an ability to navigate the nuances of demanding cases. 

Billy’s professional journey began in Indianapolis, Indiana working for a large law firm.  Billy then joined Turner Padget and has previously managed the firm’s litigation team.  Billy is a graduate of Valparaiso University and the Valparaiso University School of Law.  Billy also previously worked as an extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Andrew P. Rodovich of the Northern District of Indiana and for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.

  • Obtained defense verdict in jury trial with admitted liability where Plaintiff sought to recover over a half million dollars in damages.
  • Obtained a defense verdict for a trucking company and its truck driver in a jury trial. In that case, the driver of a semi-tractor and trailer rear ended a vehicle on a highway resulting in significant injuries to the Plaintiff.
  • Obtained jury verdict under the alleged damages and with fault attributed to the Plaintiff in an accident involving a car and bicyclist.
  • Obtained jury verdict for $15,000 in an admitted liability case where Plaintiff sought to recover over $200,000 in damages.
  • Obtained many jury verdicts well below the damages claimed by the other side.
  • Motion for Summary Judgment for national hotel in injury case.
  • Motion for Summary Judgment for company and individual owner of an animal in a bite case.
